This Cookies Policy explains how Pearl Tech Inc. ("we," "us," "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://joinpearlai.com (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms. Our mobile app does not use browser cookies; it uses similar technologies (such as device identifiers and SDKs), which are described in our Privacy Policy.
We keep cookies to a minimum. The Site uses only strictly necessary cookies and a single first-party analytics identifier — we do not show ads, run third-party advertising or retargeting tags, or use a cookie-consent banner. You can control all cookies through your browser settings, as described below.
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device that store certain information. Cookies can be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by others). They can be session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (remain until they expire or you delete them).
Local storage and similar browser storage can be used in place of, or alongside, cookies.
We use a small number of these technologies, described below.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
Operate and secure the Site (load balancing, bot mitigation, and DDoS/WAF protection through our infrastructure provider).
Measure usage (which pages and features are used) so we can improve the Site.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
We use two categories of cookies. We do NOT use advertising, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising cookies, and we do not load third-party advertising or analytics SDKs on the Site.

Analytics
Understand how the Site is used so we can improve it. We use a single first-party device identifier; analytics events are sent to Amplitude through our own server. Active in production only.

We do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not load Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Sentry, the Meta pixel, or other third-party analytics or ad SDKs on the Site.
5. Your Choices & How to Control Cookies
You control cookies through your browser:
Browser controls: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break core features of the Site.
Turn off analytics: Clearing your cookies and site data (including local storage) removes the `amplitude_device_id` identifier; blocking cookies for the Site prevents it from being set.
Because we do not use a cookie-consent banner or any advertising cookies, there is no separate consent tool to manage — your browser settings are the control.
Do Not Track (DNT): there is no common industry standard for DNT signals, so we do not respond to them.
6. Retention & Lifespan
Cookie lifespans vary (see Section 4). The first-party analytics identifier persists for up to 1 year as a cookie (and in local storage until you clear it). Cloudflare's strictly necessary cookies range from about 30 minutes to 1 year. You can delete cookies earlier at any time in your browser settings.
7. U.S. State Privacy (Sale/Share; Targeted Advertising)
We do not use advertising or targeted-advertising cookies on the Site, and we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As a result, there is no cookie-based sale, share, or targeted-advertising activity for you to opt out of. You can still disable the analytics identifier and other non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Where applicable, we honor a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of sale/share; because we do not sell or share data through cookies, this does not change our practices.
8. Where Cookie Data Is Processed
The Site is intended for users in the United States. Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare), our analytics processor (Amplitude), and our backend providers process data in the United States. Cloudflare operates a global edge network and may process certain security/performance data at edge locations. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide more prominent notice.
